Each ceramic pieces is handmade in our studio and fired twice, second time to above 1240 Centigrade. The gold work on the ceramic piece is done after the second firing, where the artist uses a set of specialized brushes and pens, to paint patterns with gold luster, an oil based suspension of gold particles. Afterwards, the piece is fired in the kiln for a third time, where the oil evaporates and the gold becomes permanent on the ceramic piece. The metal fittings are all nickel free brass. The brass used is hypoallergenic, which means that it does not cause any allergy or irritation to the wearer
