Nayika Pendant

The Nayika Pendant is a hand-carved piece, foraged in brass and plated in 18k Gold. It is a commentary on the gaze that scrutinises bits of our bodies that aren't perfect. Unlearning that gaze has led to some badass depictions of the female form. The shape comes from a 5th-century sculpture from Mathura of the Abhisarika Nayika a.k.a the heroine who dares. The Pendant is modelled after a Ghungro and so it rings when it moves.
